More than Meets the Eye
In the Summer of 2019 I had my first solo exhibition at Weston Museum. For this project I photographed 17 local women and told something of their stories.
Some of the photographs reflect their stories, some are the request of the sitter, some simply meet your eyes, asking if you can guess their stories.
It has been a voyage of discovery for me, learning new things about even my closest of friends. Along the way there has been some fun, some tears and some building of relationships.
I knew all the sitters before I started the project. Some are related to me, some to one another.
I would like to thank all the women involved for their patience during photo shoots, for sharing their stories, for helping out wherever needed and for giving me the opportunity to create the exhibition.
If you want to know more there is a book available from the exhibition. It can be purchased here.
